Draft v0.1 — published for review. Not final until approved; may change incompatibly before 1.0.

Governance

The interface is led by AutoIsto s. r. o. Comments are welcome; the first partners are invited as reviewers.

Changes to the interface are proposed in writing with a rationale and a review period; the editors (AutoIsto s. r. o.) decide.

What is open and what is not#

Isto Intents is an open interface, not open-source software:

what status
the interface: specification, bindings, JSON Schemas, examples open, CC BY 4.0 — anyone may implement it
AutoIsto's service that holds intents and delivers offers proprietary, operated by AutoIsto s. r. o.; no source code is published and no reference implementation is promised
the name "Isto Intents" and the logo not licensed; use of the name for a conforming implementation will be allowed under a separate, simple trademark policy

Anyone can build their own holder, agent or offer source against the interface. Interoperability is defined by the schemas and the rules in the specification, not by shared code.
